Long Subaru recently had the joy of participating in Subaru Loves to Care for the month of June. Subaru Loves to Care is a national initiative created in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to bring comfort and encouragement to those facing cancer. This year, the team at Long Subaru chose to support The Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital, a local organization making a difference in the lives of so many.

On April 26th, despite the rain, our Long Subaru family came together to celebrate the earth and community at our annual Long Gone Green event. From 10 AM to 2 PM, the dealership converted into a center of eco-friendly enjoyment for our local vendor and with our customers.

The Subaru Loves to Help event focuses on giving back to the kids in our community by helping them feel confident while playing and growing. To exemplify this, Long Subaru partnered with Operation Warm to bring extra joy to the children at the Boys and Girls Club of Webster/Dudley (BGCWD). 

Our annual food drive is back! Long Subaru will be donating $2 per service visit March 1-31, 2025 to the Webster Dudley Food Share. If you would like to join us in combatting food insecurity in our community, we invite you to match our donation or contribute much needed items such as: 

On Tuesday, January 28th, the Boys and Girls Club of Webster/Dudley (BGCWD) hosted its 67th Annual Meeting. It was a fun night filled with celebration and recognition. One recognition that stood out is Scott Barry, Long Subaru Retailer Principal. He was honored with the Champion for Youth Award. This significant award is given to individuals and organizations that make a substantial impact on local youth, and Long Subaru’s dedication to the community is truly inspiring.

On October 19th Long Subaru held their 14th annual Love-A-Pet event. They brought together animal lovers and community members for a fun event on a sunshine filled day.  This gathering not only celebrated pets but also fostered a spirit of giving and support for local animal shelters. The focus was on getting pets adopted and they were successful with a total of 6 adoptions. Long Subaru also covered $200 of each adoption fee as an additional event promotion, truly showing their support for animals in need.

Here at Long Subaru, we are getting closer to our Love-A-Pet event. We are excited to have at our event, Dog Orphans, Inc., an organization that has dedicated over 40 years to rescuing and rehoming dogs in need. This event not only reflects our commitment to pet adoption but also highlights the incredible efforts of those who work tirelessly to ensure a better life for these animals.

We are getting close to our Love-A-Pet event. This is a day dedicated to celebrating the bond between pets and their humans, while also supporting local animal shelters. This year, we were excited to welcome Palmer from Made by Pom, a talented crocheter whose love for creativity and cute amigurumi toys has blossomed into something truly special.
