Throughout the month of June, the Long Subaru team and their customers spent time writing heartfelt messages of hope and support. These handwritten notes were intended to offer encouragement to cancer patients who are going through some of their most difficult days. Long Subaru was full of compassion and community spirit, as each message was thoughtfully written with the hope of brightening someone’s day.
On July 8th, a small group from Long Subaru made the special delivery. Carille, Sam, Sara, Alexis and Scott all headed over to Harrington Hospital with a car full of cozy blankets and a bundle of heart postcards filled with messages of hope. When they arrived, the hospital staff welcomed them warmly and it was clear how much the Subaru Loves to Care initiative really means to everyone. Staff members shared how these blankets are given to patients as part of care packages, and how a small act of kindness can have a huge emotional impression on those who need it.One staff member remarked, “The patients really appreciate the messages. They read every word, and you can see how much it helps them. It lifts their spirits and reminds them they’re not alone.” 
How thrilling it is to know that something as small as writing a note or donating a blanket can bring real comfort to those facing cancer. For the team at Long Subaru, this experience wasn’t just about delivering items, but it was about sharing love, strength, and reminding people they are not alone.
