It's no secret that Subaru and dogs go together. At Long Subaru we celebrate our best friends every day. We are happy to sponsor adoption days throughout the year as well as host our signature annual Love-a-Pet Event. This year's Long Subaru Love-A-Pet Event will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10am-2pm.

Starting in 2010, Long Subaru has hosted an adoption and pet celebration event every year. Shelters from the tri-state area arrive early on the day to setup pens for the adoptable animals and information tables. Several local animal related businesses are also here to add to the festive occasion including face painting and alpacas from Emma's Acres. One of the highlights of the day is the Cutest Pet Contest at 1pm. Guest judges have a hard time choosing from among 20 or more contestants. By popular vote, since 2018 prizes have been given to the first place cutest pet in both large and small breed categories.

Originally held in May, as of 2021 the Love-a-Pet event has been moved to the month of October to coincide with Subaru Loves Pets month.

We love our four-footed VIP visitors here at Long Subaru, but a few have really stolen our hearts over the years. Gust & Owen (pictured) are featured frequently in our social media for all their exploits around the dealership.
