2 women sitting on a bench with food from soulfully vegan while listening to live music
On April 26th, despite the rain, our Long Subaru family came together to celebrate the earth and community at our annual Long Gone Green event. From 10 AM to 2 PM, the dealership converted into a center of eco-friendly enjoyment for our local vendor and with our customers.
This year, we adapted to the weather by bringing the event indoors, transforming both our service bay and sales showroom into vendor spaces. The food truck, Soulfully Vegan was parked under our sales overhang, where guests could enjoy delicious bites while listening to live music in a covered, relaxed setting. The rain truly didn’t stop us from having a fun busy day.

One of the highlights this year was our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. Together, we distributed 100 trees to local guests as part of our shared mission to support sustainability and the environment. Watching families and individuals pick up their new trees was a powerful reminder of the impact small, green actions can have.

Familiar favorites returned, including Emma’s Acres Alpacas, Dovehill Farm, On The Road Again, Beach Happy Creations, Wright’s Old School Chocolate, Worcester Candle, and The Planted Pine. We also welcomed a few new faces: HMS Tea, AllieLoops, and a Relay for Life group based in Thompson, CT,top picture with the chocolates from Wrights Old School Chocolates and the bottom is the Relay for Life Group and their plants. who brought both energy and purpose to the event.

Food and drinks were a highlight this year as Soulfully Vegan drew a crowd with their flavorful plant-based meals. For a sweet dessert we had Like No Udder who had guests talking all about their delicious vegan ice cream sandwiches.

Live music by Mike Silvia set the tone perfectly, giving the event a warm, relaxed atmosphere that brought people together—even indoors! His music set up added just the right energy for guests to enjoy lunch.

The plants were from a local farm, Woodstock Farms. It was just another way we helped others focus on local pollinator-friendly gardening while also brightening homes and gardens with a splash of color.

We wrapped up the day with a 1:30 PM prize drawing featuring four giveaways: a Subaru lantern Bluetooth speaker, a Best oftop picture is the tea and some samples from HMS tea. bottom is the planted pine with her plants and hand made wood planters. Thank you to everyone who braved the rain, supported our vendors, picked up a tree, or simply stopped by to say hello. We’re proud to host events like Long Gone Green and are already looking forward to next year’s celebration of sustainability here as an Eco-Friendly Retailer.
