On October 19th Long Subaru held their 14th annual Love-A-Pet event. They brought together animal lovers and community members for a fun event on a sunshine filled day.  This gathering not only celebrated pets but also fostered a spirit of giving and support for local animal shelters. The focus was on getting pets adopted and they were successful with a total of 6 adoptions. Long Subaru also covered $200 of each adoption fee as an additional event promotion, truly showing their support for animals in need.

Donations collected for the 'Dogs for Dogs' luncheon, illustrating the community's commitment to animal welfare. The excitement built as the donations accumulated and, via a drawing that included all attending shelters, Community Cat Connections received the donated funds. This act of generosity not only benefited the shelter but also encouraged others to contribute, creating a cycle of support for those in need.
 
In addition to food and fundraising, the event featured the Cutest Pet Contest that drew attention and laughter from all. Local shelters like Greyhound Friends, Inc., and No Mutts Left Behind participated, highlighting the incredible animals available for adoption on-site. These friendly events serve as a reminder that countless dogs await loving homes. It also gives the chance for the community to gather and help play a vital role in raising awareness.
 
Moreover, the presence of various local shelters and businesses enriched the day. Organizations like Dog Orphans Humane Society, Happy Life Beagle Rescue and Second Chance Animal Services shared their missions, emphasizing the importance of adoption and responsible pet ownership. Local shops like Because of Dogs, Crazy for Canines, Doggo of Distinction and Pup Truck Treats added a festive touch, encouraging attendees to support small businesses.
 
The Long Subaru Love-A-Pet event demonstrated the Subaru Love Promise and the power of community and compassion.
