We are getting close to our Love-A-Pet event. This is a day dedicated to celebrating the bond between pets and their humans, while also supporting local animal shelters. This year, we were excited to welcome Palmer from Made by Pom, a talented crocheter whose love for creativity and cute amigurumi toys has blossomed into something truly special.
As we all know, the pandemic brought about unprecedented changes in our lives. For many, it was a time for reflection, creativity, and finding new hobbies. Palmer's story began just like that—four years ago, she picked up a crochet hook and discovered a new passion. Initially starting as a simple pastime, crochet quickly transformed into a love affair with amigurumi, the beloved Japanese art of creating stuffed toys.
Palmer's enthusiasm for her craft is infectious. She shares, “I fell in love with amigurumi because it allows me to be creative in a way that brings joy to others. I’m obsessed with cute things, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about making toys that can put a smile on someone’s face.” At the Love-A-Pet event, we think that her creations will bring happiness and joy to the event.
Make sure you stop and say hi to Palmer who not only is a crochet enthusiast but a dog and Subaru lover. She is a mom to 2 rescues, Henry and Beatrix who she spoils and loves driving them in her Long Subaru. Palmer and her creations are the perfect addition to our event.
