Webster, MA, March 18, 2015 - Subaru of America, Inc. ("SOA") and Long Subaru presented a check for $4,949 to Webster Dudley Food Share, the local partner in the 2014-15 Subaru "Share the Love" event. The check was presented to Webster Dudley Food Share by Scott Barry, Long Subaru Dealer Principal. "We are very excited with the results of our continued partnership with the Webster Dudley Food Share," said Scott Barry, Dealer Principal. "They are the primary source of local support to many families in the area who have been hit by hard times. We have been privileged to be able to see firsthand the difference they make and we look forward to doing it again this year."

From Nov. 20, 2014 to Jan. 2, 2015, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from SOA.  SOA selected the four national charities and Subaru retailers could also elect to add a fifth, local charity. Long Subaru selected Webster Dudley Food Share as its local partner for the second year.

Long Subaru and Webster Dudley Food Share, Inc. teamed for the third year with the Webster Cash Mob's Mobster Food Drive held in December. This town-wide event has grown in scope and is credited with renewing the local community spirit.

"The additional funds over our current budget is most welcome," said Jim Aikire, Webster Dudley Food Share Director. "The enhancement to food bundles that this donation will provide is much appreciated by all."
