Webster, MA - Subaru of America Inc. (“SOA”) and Long Subaru presented a check for $20,282 to the Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley (BGCWD). BGCWD was the hometown charity for the Long Subaru 2023 Subaru Share the Love event.

Executive director, Liz Hamilton gave her expressions of gratitude by saying “Thank you for all your support over the years and a big thank you for this check. It is going to go a long way. We have always appreciated the support from Long Subaru and their exceptional staff.”

Long Subaru has been recognized for a strong dedication to their community and their customers.  Long Subaru has the honor of receiving the Subaru Love Promise Customer & Community Commitment Award of 2024. “The heart of our dealership is reflected in our commitment to our community. We have worked hard to build this team of employees who show that commitment.” said Scott Barry, Long Subaru Retailer principal. “We have been working closely with the Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley for several years and we’re honored to be able to do our part to help them out. Teaming with SOA during this event is a great privilege and results in bringing much needed funds to our local community. We also want to give a special thanks to our sales team as they made the effort in guiding customers to choose the Boys and Girls Club as the recipient of the donations.”
The check for $20,282 was presented by Scott Barry, Long Subaru Dealer Principal and Joe Altavilla, District Sales Manager, Subaru of New England and was accepted by Liz Hamilton, BGCWD Executive Director and Nancy Bouchard on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley.

About Share the Love:
From November 16, 2023 to January 2, 2024, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation from SOA. SOA selected the four national charities: ASPCA®, Make-a-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America, and National Park Foundation. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a local charity. Long Subaru selected the Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley as its hometown charity as well as committing to an additional donation per sale. Thanks to the sales team and our customers, the Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley was the focus of this event at Long Subaru.
