Long Subaru Earth Day Event.jpg

Several fantastic vendors and loads of our friends and customers helped us celebrate Earth Day 2022 with our first-ever plant-based event! It was a big hit and focused on our Subaru Loves the Earth theme. We hosted several vegan food vendors and some of our favorite local businesses. We came into the event to encourage our community to try something new while supporting local artistry and business. Please keep reading to learn more about it!

Folks from the Killingly area and beyond received complimentary Subaru Gear and free flats of marigolds (excellent pollinator plants) locally sourced from Woodstock Farms. We also provided bee-specific pollinator information from Harvey of Its Only Chemistry.

Local 4 Life, our community-based education group, provided information and education about our local farms. They hosted a gardening learning experience for kids of all ages to enjoy. Dove Hill Farm arrived with fresh eggs, maple syrup, and handcrafted products, all sourced from their land in nearby Moosup, CT.

Plantiful Food Trailer's whole food plant-based menu offered a new spin on a food truck with a selection of main dishes and free samples of their homemade granola bars.

The Last Green Valley Ranger John highlighted and informed guests of the local outdoor activities and offered maps highlighting all our beautiful valley offers. And Natick customers could find handcrafted local soaps and wildflower honey from Its Only Chemistry and alpaca wool products by Emma's Acres Alpacas of Oxford, MA.

We had a plant truck onsite. Wild Roots Plant Truck, a mobile greenhouse for local art and gifts, showed us how we could beautify the inside of our homes. Like No Udder of Providence, Rhode Island offered 100 percent Vegan handcrafted frozen treats and gluten-free options.

"I think Subaru people are some of the best people," said Karen, Like No Udder owner. "They are all so kind and fun-loving!" We have to say that we agree! Karen is an expert on the subject as she pulls her mobile cart using a Subaru Forester.
