Meet Our Service Advisors

Krista Pounders
Krista's love of cars began as a little girl while following her dad around with a wrench in her hand. Her dad has been a big influence in her life, having been, for many years, a service technician of various brands of cars including Subaru at one point and is now a Training Director at AutoNation. Krista took a bit of a detour, getting her degree in Video and Radio Telecommunications; however, eventually she realized her real love was with cars! Fast forward to January 2015 and we find Krista newly hired at Long Subaru as one of the very few female Service Advisors we've ever had!
Krista came to us from her previous position as a Service Technician for another brand. When asked why she made the change to Service Advisor, she said, "I really missed working directly with the customer. My goal is to bridge the gap between the customer and the service technician so that the customer's concerns can be fully met and they have the best experience possible." Krista has gone above and beyond in serving the customer's needs! One day a customer needed an oil cap replacement; realizing that the customer lived on her way home, Krista stopped by and replaced the cap for our grateful customer!
Having overcome kidney cancer in 2013, Krista has developed a new appreciation for life and an empathy for those struggling with serious illness. Recently, she decided to take advantage of her love of Karaoke and help out a family with a child struggling with inoperable brain cancer. She recorded a CD and all the sales went to help with their medical costs.
In her off time, she enjoys time with her roommate's Australian Shepherd, Sadie, pheasant hunting with her dad and his German Short Haired Pointer, Riely, and skeet shooting.
Krista has owned several Subaru vehicles over the years all with high mileage! She advises that the best way to keep your Subaru up and running is to always do fluid changes and keep up with the regular schedule of maintenance for your car. By doing this, small problems can be corrected before they become big expensive problems!
The family-like atmosphere here at Long Subaru is what Krista says she appreciates most and is what makes coming to work a pleasure! Thanks, Krista, we're happy to have you as part of our service team and appreciate your commitment to customer service which is paramount to the way we do business at Long Subaru!
