Lisa spent sixteen years working in the book industry as book store manager and then doing community relations for Barnes and Noble.

Three years ago, when her oldest son went off to college, she decided it was time for a change.  She said, "I had never been in car sales, but I love Subaru!  I was lucky enough to know the sales manager; he talked to me about it and thought I would be a good sales consultant and so here I am!

Lisa lives in Rhode Island, with her husband, Bob.  They have two sons: the oldest, Matthew, is a third year undergraduate at the University of Rhode Island and the youngest, Andrew, is a junior in high school. Two other members of the family are Tidbit and Sealy.  Tidbit is a Tibetan Spaniel mix who is very loyal and Sealy, [who is named after the mattress they didn't buy in favor of the dog!], is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves to cuddle!
Lisa is an avid flower and vegetable gardener and loves reading.

Most interesting is her hobby of taking Japanese  Chiyogami paper and creating beautiful ornaments.  A long process, she mixes and matches very tiny cut pieces of paper and assembles them on glass, shellacking and sanding the ornament until it resembles a painting and not paper.  Beautiful!

The first woman ever hired at Long Subaru as a sales consultant, Lisa says, I love it here. we really work together as a great team!  When you can go to work every day and it doesn't feel like work; you're having fun and the customers are fantastic!  I really think the customers when they're here sense that we are a happy workplace and it makes it easier for them to decide to purchase their car here.

Lisa explained that there are, of course, customers who come in to buy their second, third and fourth Subaru, however, it is the customer who is here for the first time that she finds most rewarding.  "I like to stress that Subaru has it all.  We have a great design.  We have all the features you need without going over the top.  Subaru is a very practical car maker in my opinion.  They have the safety all wrapped up.  The all wheel drive can't be beat.   It's so easy to sell the Subaru because,  it's not just one category that we excel in, we cover all of the bases.  Hands down this is my favorite job ever!"

Thanks Lisa for rounding out our team of sales consultants and bringing the feminine perspective to the Long Subaru showroom!
