From Nov. 21, 2013 to Jan. 2, 2014, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from SOA.  SOA selected the five national charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels Association of America®, National Park Foundation and Teach for America. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a sixth, local charity and Long Subaru selected Webster Dudley Food Share as its local partner. "At Long Subaru, we love being part of a great community! While we are privileged to be part of all the Subaru nationwide contributions to charity we also strive to look for local ways in which to reach out," said Scott Barry, Dealer Partner. "Webster/Dudley Food Share is on the front lines of supplying much needed help to many in our towns who have been affected by the closure of local industries and other financial difficulties. We are happy to sponsor them in any way we can and were very happy when we learned that they could become an official part of Subaru's Share the Love campaign!."

Long Subaru and Webster/Dudley Food Share, Inc. teamed for the third year holding the Long Subaru 'Turkey Exchange Program' supplying dozens of turkeys and trimmings for local families to celebrate Thanksgiving. The dealership also partnered for the second time with the Webster Cash Mob’s Mobster Food Drive held in December to benefit WDFS.

The check for $3,674.89 was presented to Webster Dudley Food Share by Scott Barry, Dealer Partner, Long Subaru. "The monies received will be used to enhance our fresh vegetable and fruit bag that each of our families receives every month they require food.  We are beginning a purchase program with multiple local farmers and your donation will allow us to share our local produce with our local families," said Jim Aikire, Webster/Dudley Food Share Treasurer.
