Well, it's BACK TO SCHOOL time again! We can't believe how fast the year rolls around, and it may seem early to start our school shopping - but Webster Public Schools' first day is August 27, 2014. So in order to get everything ready and delivered we have just a month to ask for your generous donations.
Fortunately, the stores are all ready stocked with school supplies. Our first trip out we came back with 9 backpacks - we're off to a good start.
New to Pack the Outback? Here's how it works. Every year Long Subaru donates a minimum of 25 backpacks of various sizes complete with supplies to the Webster Public Schools. We know times are hard and schools as well as parent are having a hard time getting and giving the needed items for a successful school year. We welcome you to donate whatever you can. If it's backpacks, that's awesome! If it's pens, or pencils, or notebooks, or rulers, or calculators, or, well you get the picture - then that's awesome too!
Together we work to make sure each backpack has the basic items inside. We'll be collecting until Sunday, August 24th. That way we have one day (Monday) to go through everything and make a last minute run for missing items. Then we deliver everything to our friends at Park Ave. Elementary and Bartlett High School. The teachers there know we are coming and work together to make sure that the right items go to the students in need.
How can you donate? That's easy. Just bring what you can to Long Subaru, 7 Sutton Rd. Webster, MA anytime Mon.-Thurs. 9-8pm, Fri. 9-6pm, Sat. 9-5pm or Sun. 12-4pm. Pack it right into the showroom Subaru Outback and we'll take care of the rest. Let's pack it full this year!
