Since 1966 the Subaru building in Shinjuku, Japan has been has been the headquarters of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI). With growing needs of the company in view, it was decided to move to new facilities just a few miles away. As a sign of gratitude to the Shinjuku area that was home for so many years to FHI, the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, the Shinjuku Subaru Building hosted an impressive Rear Projection Mapping show. For two nights the projected images included animations of dancing Subaru cars, fireworks, underwater worlds and outer space voyages.
"We were in the building for 48 years, and we wanted to express our
gratitude to the neighbors and our customers through the event," a
spokeswoman at Fuji Heavy Industries said.
(The FHI head office was officially relocated to Ebisu on August 18, 2014)
