Bryce is your average 8 year old boy who enjoys playing with cars and dancing to videos. Bryce is schooled in his home environment due to his medical issues. He has a large family living at home with his parents and 4 sisters. At first glance you would think that Bryce is a perfectly normal 8 year old until you look into his history. Sadly Bryce has a disorder known as Sanfilippo Syndrome (MPS III A) which is a genetic disorder that will eventually lead to death in his early adolescence. At the time being, there is no cure or treatment. Bryce also suffers from Addisons disease, Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism, and was recently diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. With the complexity of his care and diagnosis Bryce needs to travel with family to Duke Medical Center in North Carolina each year in order to not only provide him with care from those who understand his disorder, but to help give as much as he can to aid in the research to one day have a cure for children suffering with this degenerative disorder.
