Business & Home Show! The air was full of excitement as the vendors started setting up between 2-3pm. This left plenty of time for all of us to chat, visit and check out the displays before opening up to the public at 4pm. Over 50 vendors were present with many, including Long Subaru, donating products and services to be awarded ever 10 minutes through the evening!
As local residents started arriving the were greeted by music from 98.9FM and a few performances by our local talented choirs. Upon entering each visitor received a reusable bag to carry all their 'loot' collected from the vendors, as well as the opportunity to enter their name into the drawing pool. The only criteria for winning was to be present when your name was called - but no worries, since many of the vendor held a second entry at their booths that did not require you to be there.
This was a great opportunity for all of us to speak with our customers! At our Long Subaru table many customers' were surprised with some free Subaru gear upon uttering the 'magic word'. And, as you will all notice at future events, our Autism Speaks information was available to any and all. Thank you to everyone who participated in 'Lighting it up Blue' with our complimentary glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces.We can't to forget to mention the Chowder Cook-off - probably the most anticipated part of the evening. Six local businesses participated and brought their A-game. Congratulations to 'My Brother's Place' who won (the results between the top two contenders where only separated by a few votes)!
Congratulations to Lorrie Masiello and Jeanette Lavallee who both were winners of a complimentary oil change here at Long Subaru! We all are looking forward to next year!
