Things to do in your Long Subaru: Deck the Halls at Hammond Castle Museum

As the cold weather approaches, that can only mean one thing: Christmas is upon us! Starting December 7th through the 20th from 10 am to 3 pm, Hammond Castle Museum in Gloucester, Massachusetts will host their annual Deck the Halls event to ger folks into the holiday season, while enjoying a unique and stunning experience in the Castle.

The Hammond Castle was built in late 1920’s by John Hays Hammond, Jr. The beautiful structure sits high, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, both giving spectacular views inside and out. Inside you will find unique architecture inspired by the medieval and Renaissance era’s, including stone archways, windows, and other architectural aspects of the Old World, all designed by Hammond himself. He also has a massive amount of European art on display, 16th century antiques, and a stunning organ that sits in the middle of the castle.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the castle will be open to the public to celebrate the holiday season! To celebrate, guests can vote for their favorite decorated rooms and a winner will be crowned at the end of the season. The decorated rooms include Dining Room, Library, Courtyard, Sun room, and the Great Hall. Self-guided tours will also be available.

Ticket are:  $15 Adults and $10 Children. On December 14th – all tickets will be $20 due to special performances.
